The students of the MBA Program, IIT Kanpur present Prabandhan’14, the Fourth Edition of the Annual Management Conclave to be held on 27th and 28th September 2014 . The objective of the conclave is to provide a common platform for academicians, industrialists, corporate professionals, research scholars and young management students to share their knowledge and experiences, to update and get updated on current and upcoming trends in the field of business management, and to discuss the problems faced by the 21st century businesses. The conclave's major attraction is "Pragyan", which is a panel discussion and guest lecture series inviting distinguished speakers from industry and academia. It would also extend an opportunity to participants to compete with the intellectuals nationwide in Pratiyogita, the Business Simulation Game & Prayaas, National Case study competition.

Prabandhan 2014 EVENT Information ::
Prayaas is a two-round event conducted by Operations Club, MBA-IME, IIT Kanpur from 03 September-28 September, 2014.
• The first round would be conducted on 03rd September 2014 at 10:00 PM. The event would be an online quiz, crossword
or something similar and would largely test the knowledge of the participants in the field of Operations, Supply Chain and
Marketing with a few questions on applications.
• The round would be for duration of 30 minutes.
• In case of tie in the score, the team with the earlier submission will be awarded a higher rank.
• The results of first round would be declared within 48 hours.
• The top 08 teams would be shortlisted for the final round wherein each team would be assigned a case 72 hours prior to
the final round.
• The teams will be divided in groups and will have to present their case.
• This will be followed by the debate on the case between the two teams.
• The debate will be for 15-20 minutes followed by Q&A session with judges.
• The team with maximum points, at the end of the final round would be adjudged "Champions of Prayaas"

• The competition is open to all B-school participants
• Teams must be composed of 2-3 members
• The team members must be from same institute
• A participant can be a part of only one team
• Multiple teams can participate from one B-School
• Teams can comprise of members either both from same year or one from each 1st and 2nd year
• The registration for the event starts from 28th August, 2014.
• A team need to register for the event till 9:00 PM on 3rd September, 2014
Prabandhan 2014 GUIDELINES FOR THE FIRST ROUND ON 3RD SEPTEMBER 2014:
• Teams must be composed of 2-3 members
• The team members must be from same institute
• A participant can be a part of only one team
• Multiple teams can participate from one B-School
• Teams can comprise of members either both from same year or one from each 1st and 2nd year
• The registration for the event starts from 28th August, 2014.
• A team need to register for the event till 9:00 PM on 3rd September, 2014
Prabandhan 2014 GUIDELINES FOR THE FIRST ROUND ON 3RD SEPTEMBER 2014:
• The first episode will be a 30 min online quiz
• The quiz will start at 10:00 PM on 3rd September 2014
• A password protected PDF file with questions along with the Google form for answers will be uploaded on the Facebook page at 9:45 PM
• The password for the file will be shared in the same page at 9:59 PM
• The team will be allowed to make multiple edits for any question.
• Submissions after 10:30 PM (Time-stamp will be noted) will not be accepted.
Prabandhan 2014 GUIDELINES FOR THE SECOND ROUND ON 28TH SEPTEMBER 2014:
• A password protected PDF file with questions along with the Google form for answers will be uploaded on the Facebook page at 9:45 PM
• The password for the file will be shared in the same page at 9:59 PM
• The team will be allowed to make multiple edits for any question.
• Submissions after 10:30 PM (Time-stamp will be noted) will not be accepted.
Prabandhan 2014 GUIDELINES FOR THE SECOND ROUND ON 28TH SEPTEMBER 2014:
• The 2nd round would be held in IME department of IIT Kanpur.
• The case should be prepared in the form of presentation (.PPT), sent in PDF format and should be ofmaximum 10
slides (including title, executive summary and concluding slides).
• In case of quantitative analysis of the case, teams can bring their analysis in excel worksheets.
• The file size should not exceed 5 MB.
• The case should be submitted before the commencement of the event on 28th September 2014 at
prabandhan.mbaiitk@gmail.com
• The subject of the mail and file should be named as Member1Name_Campus.
• The rules and decisions of the judging panel and organizing team in all matters related to the Case Study shall be final and
abiding. The judging panel and organizing team reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they
find or believe that participants have:
o Tampered with the process (in any form) of the competition,
o Violated the rules and guidelines, or
o Plagiarized the idea or some parts of it.
• Under all circumstances, the decision of the judging committee will be final.
