ABOUT MEGATHON 2016
Hosted jointly by E-Cell IIT-Hyderabad and E-Cell IIIT-Hyderabad, Megathon is a 24-hour hackathon for all aspiring student entrepreneurs in Hyderabad. Ideas can solve a real life problem, social issue or any other aspect from the given themes for Megathon. Participants will work on their idea in teams.
Teams will work on a business model canvas and a prototype in this hackathon. Each team will be assigned a mentor who will guide them through the whole process.
Megathon -a 24-hour hackathon Schedule : Speakers will address the audience and talk about startups, entrepreneurship, benefits of business etc. Every team will get exactly 1 minute for an initial pitch. Domain expert mentors will be assigned on basis of the initial pitch. Teams will start working on their ideas, preparing a business model canvas along with a prototype during the event. Finally, each team will present (pitch) their idea to the investors. Investors will announce the winners, and good ideas may even fetch investment.

A smart city is an urban development vision to integrate multiple information and communication technology (ICT) and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. We want you to develop a smart solution for better health care, education, banking and transaction system and urban infrastructure. You can explore further and deal with social issues of metro cities and urban crowd.
Access to education has improved in the past decade for millions of children. But far too many of the world’s most disadvantaged children remain excluded from school, and many of the children in school do not learn the basic skills they need to lead productive lives.
Education systems around the globe must do more than increase resources to engage the children excluded because of location, gender, disability, ethnic origin, violence or natural disaster. Addressing these challenges requires more than business as usual.
Fed up of answering the same questions again and again and again? Bots are here for the rescue. These bots can use your database and think for itself and do a lot more like finding relevant solutions. So let's start making a bot of your own which will do the thinking while you relax.
Solve basic day to day problems which people face like bill splitting system for roommates, tools for event management or unified platform for electric bills
